Scuba tanks, like all cylinders that contain compressed gas, fall under OSHA/DOT regulations and as such are to be visually inspected annually and hydrostatically tested every 5 years.

We offer the following services:

  • Visual Inspections
  • Cylinder valve service

Service Options

Scuba Gear Service LLC provides scuba tank service for both aluminum and steel cylinders, including annual visual inspections and valve service.

Includes exterior and interior inspection, replacement of the valve O-ring, and a fill.

We disassemble the valve, clean components, replace the manufacturer’s recommended parts as needed, reassemble, test the valve, and fill the tank.

Customer Acknowledgements

Parts kits are not included in this package price and will be added if required for your service

Scuba Gear Service (SGS) reserves the right to refuse service on customer equipment if, in SGS’s judgment, the equipment is unsafe to use or cannot be returned to serviceable condition.
