BC Service

We’re taught to rinse BCs after every dive, drain water from the bladder, and store them slightly inflated. Even with good habits, it is still recommended to service your BC annually along with your regulators.

Small amounts of sand or salt in the dump valves can let air leak out. Debris or salt in the inflator can let air leak in and cause the BC to auto-inflate. Both problems affect your buoyancy and increase your risk.

Our annual BC service includes servicing the power inflator, cleaning the interior bladder, inspecting all dump valves and releases, and checking for leaks.

Service Options

Full annual service: service power inflator, clean interior bladder, inspect dump valves/releases, and leak check.

This is the recommended annual service for most divers. We service the power inflator, clean the interior of the bladder, inspect all dump valves and releases, and perform a leak check.

Function testing + leak check to assess condition.

A condition check when you want verification before a trip, after storage, or before deciding on full service. Includes function testing and a leak check.
